Camerata Press Chorale Records Videos

A group of 16 select singers from southern Michigan and northern Indiana met recently to record several pieces for cameratapress.com. The Master's Touch and In the Garden of the Lord were also filmed and are the first of David Seitz's pieces to appear on YouTube. Check them out! David said, "We're calling the recording group Camerata Press Chorale because, while this ensemble would give excellent public performances, it exists to record audio and video for the website."

The singers include students and faculty of Southwestern Michigan College where Christine Larson Seitz is staff collaborative pianist. Also singing are current and former members of St. Joseph Valley Camerata, the chamber choir begun by David in 1975 and accompanied by Christine since 1978. Scott Hochstetler of Goshen College has been its director since 2011.

We thank First United Methodist Church of Mishawaka, Indiana, where we recorded in the chancel. Brian Sapp of SAPPHOTO MEDIA (sapphoto@yahoo.com) was the videographer and kindly posted the videos on his YouTube channel. Larry Becker, Goshen, Indiana, engineered the audio recording. Ruth Smucker, artist and designer, posted the videos to the cameratapress.com website.
